JUMP TO: Best Value Blind | Best Overall Blind | Best 3-Person Blind | Another Great Option | Best Double Blind | Features to Consider

For years I considered deer hunting from a portable blind, but just couldn’t get past the limited visibility of a typical popup blind.

But when I stumbled on the Primos Double Bull SurroundView 270 blind at the 2018 Archery Trade Association show in Indianapolis, limited visibility suddenly became a non-issue. For the first time in the history of hunting blinds, you could see right through three sides of the hunting blind from inside, but deer and other wildlife couldn’t see in. It was a game changer.

If you’re considering a see-through hunting blind of your own, you’ve come to the right place. Since 2018, I’ve researched and tested all the major players in this market, and share with you what I believe to be the five best options on the market.

Best Value See-Through Blind

Features

  • 58″x58″x66″ dimensions
  • 270 degrees of see-through panels
  • Good mid-weight nylon outer shell
  • Silent slide windows that adjust from the middle (similar to a Double Bull)
  • Weighs just 13 pounds

What We Like

I ultimately chose the TideWe See-Through Hunting Blind as my go-to blind due to the overall quality of the product at an affordable price point. While the outer shell and hubs aren’t up to the quality of the Primos Double Bull, the TideWe is just a fraction of the price.

I chose the TideWe over the Rhino and the Muddy due to it having a better window configuration more similar to the high-end Double Bull. I also liked that the TideWe has three full sides that are see-through mesh as opposed to just the window section of the blind, for more visibility.

I wrote a full review of the TideWe hunting blind, and also created a video that can be viewed below.

Best Overall See-Through Blind

Features

  • 60″x60″x70″ dimensions
  • 300 degrees of see-through panels
  • Heavy weight, durable outer shell
  • 180° full front window with silent slide window closures
  • Weighs 26 pounds with carrying bag

What We Like

There’s plenty to like when it comes to the Primos Double Bull SurroundView line of blinds. They use the absolute best material and hubs on the market, so they are built to last.

Their window system is also top notch, giving you the ability to customize the opening to suit your situation. And I personally think the camouflage on Double Bull blinds is the best on the market. You also got to like that all their blinds come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Best 3-Person See-Through Blind

[affiliatable id=’182245′]

Features

  • 65″x65″x74″ dimensions
  • 270 degrees of see-through Shadow Mesh panels
  • Heavy 600 denier polyester outer shell
  • 3 independent windows per side
  • Weighs 19.5 pounds

[affiliatable id=’182823′]

What We Like

The Muddy Infinity 3-person ground blind is a decent portable hunting blind at the $200 price point. It has a good quality outer shell with a nice looking Veil camo pattern. Another cool feature is the one-way Shadow Mesh™ drop down silent curtains that allow you to customize the window configuration to your specific hunting scenario.

Another Great Option

[affiliatable id=’182246′]

Features

  • 58″x58″x66″ dimensions
  • 180 degrees of see-through panels
  • Similar mid-weight outer shell as the TideWe
  • 270 degrees of adjustable window openings
  • Weighs 16 pounds

[affiliatable id=’182837′]

What We Like

While I think the Rhino R180 is a decent blind at its price point, I chose the TideWe over the Rhino for the TideWe’s superior windows configuration. Otherwise, their size, quality, and outer shell seem very similar.

Best Double See-Through Blind

[affiliatable id=’183761′]

Features

  • 116″x58″x66″ dimensions
  • 270 degrees of see-through panels
  • Good mid-weight nylon outer shell
  • Silent slide windows that adjust from the middle (similar to a Double Bull)

What We Like

This is another excellent offering from TideWe. It has all the same great features of their single blind described above times two! This would make a great setup for a hunter/cameraman combination or a wheelchair-bound hunter with helpers. We also love the versatility that allows you to use the blind in multiple configurations, including as a normal single blind, the double blind, or as a 1/2-blind screen.

Key Features to Consider

Selecting the perfect see-through hunting blind can be a daunting task, especially with so many great options available. To help you make an informed decision, we’ve compiled a list of essential features to consider when choosing a see-through hunting blind. By understanding these features, you can evaluate each blind and find the perfect match for your hunting needs.

Visibility and Concealment

One of the primary reasons for using a hunting blind is to stay concealed from game while maintaining a clear view of your surroundings.

Look for blinds with one-way see-through mesh windows, which allow you to observe the area without being detected by animals. Some blinds, such as the Double Bull SurroundView Double Wide, offers a 300-degree view for maximum visibility.

Material and Weather Resistance

A good hunting blind should be made of durable materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions, such as rain, snow, and wind. Weather-resistant fabric will help keep you dry and comfortable during your hunting excursions. Additionally, choose a blind with a strong frame that can hold up against strong winds.

Size and Capacity

Consider the size and capacity of the hunting blind based on your hunting party’s size and the amount of gear you’ll need to store. Some blinds, like the Muddy Infinity 3-Man Ground Blind, are designed for multiple hunters, providing ample space for both hunters and their gear.

If you typically hunt solo, a smaller blind might be more suitable and easier to transport.

Portability and Setup

If you plan to move between hunting locations frequently, a lightweight and portable hunting blind is essential. The TideWe portable hunting blind is an excellent choice for hunters seeking a lightweight option.

Additionally, look for blinds with easy-to-assemble designs, such as hub-style or pop-up setups, so you can spend more time hunting and less time setting up your blind.

Shooting Windows and Openings

A see-through hunting blind should offer multiple shooting windows and openings to provide flexibility in taking shots from various angles. Look for blinds with adjustable window heights and angles, such as the TideWe and Double Bull, for the perfect vantage point.

The one downside to these see-through blinds is that the window mesh is a heavier material that I wouldn’t recommend trying to shoot through. That’s why it’s important to pick one with a good window configuration so you have plenty of shooting options.

Price and Value

Finally, consider your budget when choosing a see-through hunting blind. While it’s essential to invest in a high-quality blind, you don’t necessarily need to break the bank to find one that meets your needs. Compare the features, materials, and durability of various blinds within your budget to ensure you get the best value for your money.

By considering these key features when choosing a see-through hunting blind, you can find the perfect model that meets your needs and enhances your hunting experience. Take the time to evaluate each feature and how it aligns with your personal hunting preferences, and you’ll be well on your way to a successful and enjoyable hunting adventure.
